Privacy policy
This statement describes how Pakenema processes personal data in connection with escape room bookings, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we collect
- The name of the person booking
- Email address and phone number (booking confirmation and contact)
- Booking details: room and time, plus your postal code if you give it (used only for statistics, so we know where our visitors come from)
We collect only the data necessary to handle the booking. The site does not use tracking cookies.
How the data is used
- Processing and confirming the booking
- Contact related to the game (e.g. changes or cancellations)
- Meeting statutory obligations such as accounting
Legal bases: handling the booking and the related contact are based on a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), accounting on a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) and the statistical use of the optional postal code on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)). A name and contact details are needed to make a booking; giving a postal code is optional.
Data retention
The personal data of a booking (name, email address, phone number and booking notes) is kept for 36 months from the date of the game. The period is based on the general three-year limitation period for claims under Finnish law (Limitation Act 728/2003), so that we can resolve questions and claims related to a booking. After that the name, email address, phone number and notes are deleted; the room, time and postal code are kept for statistics. Data that forms part of the accounting records (e.g. invoices) is kept for six years from the end of the year in which the financial period ended, as required by the Finnish Accounting Act.
Disclosure of data
We do not disclose data to third parties for marketing purposes. Data may be processed by trusted service providers (e.g. website hosting) as part of delivering the booking service. We do not transfer data outside the EU or EEA.
Your rights
You have the right to access data concerning you, to request its correction or erasure, to restrict its processing and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Contact: info@pakenema.fi. If you consider that your data is processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
